Spiced Old Fashioned

Thanksgiving Spiced Old Fashioned Cocktail

With all the families doing a Thanksgiving dinner, I thought it would be best to keep the festivities simple at my house. I decided to have a small get together with drinks and pie, and to have our Thanksgiving turkey in liquid form. This cocktail is based on the classic Old Fashioned (my favorite) and includes everything you need for the holidays: turkey, cranberries, & pumpkin spice.

Sugar Cube(optional)
Dash of Angostura Orange Bitters
Wild Turkey Kentucky Bourbon
Seltzer Water (Optional)

Muddle a couple of clementine slices, a spoonful of cocktail cranberries, dash of orange bitters, and sugar cube in a cocktail shaker or glass. Add ice cubes and 1-2 shots of bourbon and stir well.

Muddle a clementine slice and cocktail cranberry in an old fashioned low ball glass and fill with ice. Strain the drink mixture over the ice, top with seltzer and serve. Garnish with orange slices, cranberries, apples, cinnamon stick or whatever you prefer.
